Tanner Hunt is in his 14th year of teaching and his 5th as Director of Bands at Walker Valley High School. Mr. Hunt was born and raised in Cleveland, TN.
His love for music and band developed as a result of growing up in the Walker Valley Band program under the direction of his father, Alan Hunt. Mr. Hunt attended Tennessee Tech University for his Bachelor and Master's Degrees, where he studied conducting, music, and French Horn under Mr. Joseph Hermann, Dr. Eric Harris, and Mr. Arthur LaBar.
At Walker Valley, Mr. Hunt is responsible for the Marching Band and various Concert Bands, as well as being the Fine Arts Department Head, where he oversees all the Fine Arts classes. Under Mr. Hunt’s direction, the Walker Valley Band has performed and received Superior ratings at multiple Marching Competitions and Concert Performance Assessments. He also helps to host the annual East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association’s All East Jazz Honor Band Clinic.
Mr. Hunt is an active member of the Tennessee Music Educators Association, the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association, and a member of the American School Band Director Association. In his spare time, he is an avid film enthusiast and DVD collector, owning over 800 pieces of physical media. He is married to his wonderful wife, Maria Hunt, who is also a Music Educator in Cleveland, TN and father to his daughter, Diana, who loves to sing and play instruments like her parents.
Isaac Beaty is in his seventh year of teaching as an Assistant Band Director at Walker Valley High School, where he directs the Walker Valley Marching Percussion, Indoor Percussion, and various Percussion Ensembles ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as teaching Music Theory. Isaac completed his undergraduate degree in Music Performance at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN, and earned a Master of Education at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Isaac lives in Cleveland, TN, with his wife Keshana, and his son Isaiah.
Mr. Archer is in his seventh year of teaching, fifth at Walker Valley High. Archer attended Lee University to pursue a Bachelors in Music Education and the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati receiving a Masters of Music in Trombone. In addition to serving as an assistant director, Mr. Archer's responsibilities also include teaching Music Appreciation, conducting the Jazz Band, conducting the Symphonic Band, and cooridinating the Chamber Music Class. He currently lives in Mc Donald with his wife, Erica, his son, Anderson, and his cats, Ghost and Dragon.

Kevin White is in his 16th year of teaching. Kevin has been a percussion instructor with the Walker Valley High School Band program since 2014. He serves as a percussion instructor as well as sound designer and audio engineer. He also also teaches private lessons to percussion students. He was previously the percussion instructor and arranger for Bradley Central High School Band prior to joining the Walker Valley High School Band. Kevin is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1997 where he was a member of the Cleveland High School Band and Indoor Percussion. Kevin is also actively involved in music ministry at Mt. Olive Church of God where he serves as drummer and Rhythm Section Director. Kevin's has been employed with the Bradley County Sheriff's Office since 2002 where currently holds the position of Leiutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division.
